Kethira (world)

When first starting, you're presented with a high-level view of the world of your choice. This is Kethira, N. Robin Crossby's acclaimed fantasy world. You can see numerous markers of major regions, empires, and cities across the globe.

Hârn (region)

Hârn is probably the best defined of the regions on Kethira but the top-level view has only the most prominent locations and no real detail of the island's terrain. The orange & black outline indicates that more detail is available.

Hârn (description)

By doing a long-press within the region boundary, a description appears along with the option to "Get it!". Information about the regions subscription price (or lack thereof), sub-regions, and user rating are all given.

Hârn (subscription)

Because the publisher of Hârn has defined a subscription, you're taken through the Google Play store to make the purchase. A free trial period is offered and you can cancel at any time.

Once the subscription process is complete, you immediately see the updated map information on your screen.

Hârn (zoom)

The Hârn regional map has much greater detail than the world view. You can zoom in to see more and more. Only a few additional points of information are shown here but the complete set is large and provides invaluable information for Game Masters.

Chybisa (kingdom)

Zooming in even further gets us towards the kingdom of Chybisa. Though the Hârn region map includes all the major cities, it stops short of detailing the finer points of the kingdom.

A long-press within the area of Chybisa, though, quickly allows us to see information about the kingdom and tap on "Get it!" will make it instantly available.

Now we can see more about the kingdom of Chybisa, including all the little manor towns that dot its fertile countryside.

Burzyn (map)

The capital of Chybisa is Burzyn. After zooming in on its location and going the the now-familiar steps to access it, we can see its map overlaid on the kingdom map.

Burzyn (buildings)

From a high-level, only major points of interest are visible but once we get closer, all of the official buildings are shown with markers. Tapping on a marker brings up basic information. Tapping that brings up details.

Caer Burzyn (castle)

Caer Burzyn is probably the most impressive fortress on Hârn. Here we've added it to our collection of regions and can see the floor plan.

Caer Burzyn is not just a single level, however. By tapping on the "Layers" button, you can choose which of the floors you want to see. 0=Ground, 1=1st floor, -1=cellar

Caer Burzyn (ground floor)

Caer Burzyn was built around an older keep. The map shows the original structure as a different type of stone.

The first floor above ground has the royal chambers, guest rooms, and a church.

Caer Burzyn (cellar)

The cellar of the castle has plenty of storage... and a secret escape route to the river, including boats that can be wheeled down to it.

Temple of Larani

It isn't all just "canon" material, though. Though the official description of Burzyn mentions the Temple of Larani, it is a fellow GM that detailed it for her campaign and made it available here, free of charge.

There's no limit to how far this could go. Another artist could create detailed plans of the Abbot's chambers and suddenly everyone would see another region border appearing on the map above. Now that's collaboration!

Mobile Apps

Deity for Android and iOS provide easy access to game-masters everywhere to quickly access information about the world in which they are playing. The user interface uses the well-established Google Maps navigation techniques to allow everything from a full world-view to rooms inside buildings. Markers indicate points of interest and more information is available with the touch of your finger. No more flipping through binders of information to locate a specific map or information about some shop! It’s now all exactly where you would expect to find it.
