General
How can I contact Deity Support?
Deity support is handled primarily through a Discord Server accessible via any web browser. Alternatively, we can be reached via email at support@riverworth.com.
Problems
Why is the map not appearing when everything else seems to work?
This is typically due to interference by browser ad-blocker extensions that prevent access to subdomains which are used for fast-serving of map tiles. If disabling extensions still doesn’t fix the problem, please contact support.
Information
What is the difference between “published”, “contributed”, and “notes”?
When bringing up marker details (double-click on the icon or click on the more/other link), or when viewing region information (the “i” button at the top-left), there are three tabs with different information.
- Published: This is the description set by the region’s owner when they create or update the database. It is their “canonical” description of the location and cannot be changed by anyone else.
- Contributed: This comes from a Wiki that can be edited by any (signed-in) user of Deity to add other details of their own creation. The backend is MediaWiki, the same engine that powers Wikipedia and many other websites. Text written there about a region or marker is directly readable inside Deity under this tab.
- Notes: This is your own personal notes and can be any text, perhaps some ideas for an upcoming adventure you’re planning. If you’re signed-in, this text is saved in the cloud and available on any device. If not signed-in, it’s local to that machine. Either way, it is visible only to you.
Purchases
How do I cancel a recurring subscription?
You should be able to manage your subscriptions on Stripe’s Customer Portal.
Is there a way to subscribe to everything at once?
Yes! Worlds have subscription plans that automatically include everything within them for one price. Try a link below.
How are “promotion codes” used?
Promotion Codes are entered during the final check-out process.
- Sign In: If not done already, use the “sign-in” icon (top-most icon of the bottom-left) to register yourself with an email address. This is required in order to keep track of purchases so that they can’t be lost when changing devices.
- Find: Promotion Codes are generally associated with a specific region. If the location of the region is unknown, it can be found using the “Search” (magnifying glass) function.
- Select: Double-click inside the gold/black border of that region to get a dialog for accessing it. Choose the subscription model that is desired.
- Enter: In the left column of the payment dialog is a “Add promotion code” link. Click that and type/paste the supplied code.
